Wakare no asa futari wa
(On the morning of parting)

Sameta koucha nomihoshi
(after we drank up cold tea,)

Sayounara no kuchizuke
(we exchanged good-bye kisses)

Warainagara kawashita
(with a smile)

Wakare no asa futari wa
(On the morning of parting,)

Shiroi doa (door) wo hiraite
(after we opened the white door)

Eki ni tsuzuku komichi wo
(we walked along the path to the station)

Nanimo iwazu aruita
(I walked without saying anything)

Iwanaide nagusame wa
(Please don't give me words of comfort)

Namida wo sasoukara
(because I cannot stop being moved to tears)

Furenaide kono yubi ni
(Please don't touch my fingers)

Kokoro ga midareru kara

Yagate kisha wa dete yuki
(Soon, the train left me alone, and)

Hitori nokoru watashi wa
(I'm the only one left)

Chigireruhodo te wo furu
(You were waving your hand with full of force)

Anata no me wo miteita
(as if to tear off the hand)

Udo Juergens

  1. The English translation is incorrect.
I was left alone.
